Summary:ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> Water is a life source and holds a very important role in supporting all kinds of human activities. The development of agro tourism area in the province of South Sulawesi requires support in sufficient infra structure, including water availability. <br /> <br /> <br /> Puca Educatinal Resort Area is one of the resort areas in South Sulawesi Province and one of the small Sub River Bazins in the area as a source of water availability for water needs in Puca Resort Area, i.e Belo Sub River Bazin with a catchment area of 30,29 hectare. Belo Sub River Bazin is a water resource potential in meeting all kinds of water needs in the area among others, for agro tourism vegetation, plantation, farming, fishery, stock farming, domestic and tourism. <br /> <br /> <br /> The rate of precipitation each year is quite high approximately between 1683 mm and 5587 mm. The methods used to analyse water availability were F.J Mock and NRECA, in which the methods simulated monthly water balance in a certain catchment area which was indicated to calculate the total run-off by using monthly rainfall, evapotranspiration, soil moisture and ground water availability. <br /> <br /> <br /> The yearly average of water availability in Belo Sub River Bazin at Puca area is 122,59 lt/sec, while the short term water demand is 104,38 lt/sec, medium term of 105,58 lt/sec and long term, it is 108,46 lt/sec until the year 2025, it shows that are surplus of water in the bazin. <br /> <br /> <br /> The construction of a small dam is required in meeting the demand of water in the drought season for short term, medium term and long term with the capacity required for Belo Sub River Bazin of 91.840,515 m3.
