By taking Purbaleunyi and Soroja Toll Roads in the Greater Bandung as a case study, this research airms to explore the influence Purbaleunyi – Soroja Toll Roads have to encourage the growth of tourist attraction in the Greater Bandung. The objectives of this research include: identifying the growth and distribution of tourist attractions, identifying land cover changes around toll roads, and estimating the influence of toll roads on tourist destinations' growth. The research was conducted using quantitative descriptive analysis, spatial analysis, and binary logistic regression analysis. Secondary data was collected and processed into 1x1 km spatial cells as a sample, with a total sample of 3,297. The variables used in this study include the length of roads within the cell, the distance from the center of the cells to the nearest toll gate, and the increase in built-up land area from 2001 to 2018. The analysis results indicate that the more roads present, the greater the land use change into built-up land, and the closer the area is to the toll gate, the higher the probability of a tourism attraction emerging in that area. These findings suggest that toll road development influences tourist attraction growth in a region, both directly and indirectly. It is necessary to increase road accessibility and amenities to optimize the potential for tourist attraction development. text |
