DETERMINATION OF TPAR AND SPAR PARAMETER IN TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

Disturbances in the transmission system can cause the system to become unstable. If these disturbances are not properly addressed, they can lead to more severe issues and, in the worst-case scenario, result in a total system blackout or collapse. Most disturbances in transmission lines are tempor...

If these disturbances are not properly addressed, they can lead to more severe issues and, in the worst-case scenario, result in a total system blackout or collapse. Most disturbances in transmission lines are temporary; however, if these disturbances are not mitigated effectively, they can compromise system stability. Therefore, the implementation of reclosing on transmission lines is necessary to improve system stability. On the other hand, incorrect reclose schemes and settings may not only fail to eliminate the effects of these temporary disturbances but can also further destabilize the system, potentially leading to system failure. This study provides guidance on which parameters need to be analyzed to select the optimal reclose settings and Scheme. The DigSilent PowerFactory application will be used to examine and analyze parameters such as voltage magnitude, phase angle, Critical Clearing time (CCT), Power surge, Secondary arc, Fault-Induced Delayed Recovery Voltage (FIDVR), and Transient Recovery Voltage (TRV) caused by disturbances in each segment. These parameters will then be compared with IEEE or IEC standards. The results of this comparison will determine the best reclose settings and Scheme. text
