INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/87623 Renewable energy resources are currently being developed to meet the electricity needs of communities or work areas in remote areas. The power source must use effective, efficient, and reliable technology so that it is easy to use and maintain with optimal power. Photovoltaic is a technology that converts sunlight directly into electricity using solar cells. However, the voltage produced by photovoltaics is relatively small, so a converter with a high voltage gain ratio is required. The input current ripple of the converter affects the efficiency and material degradation of solar cells, so a converter with low input current ripple is needed. This thesis discusses a high-ratio DC-DC converter based on two conventional buck-boost converters. The two converters are uniquely combined by connecting the input side in parallel but in different phases and connecting the output side in series, with the output side acting as a voltage amplifier. Its input ripple current is reduced by parallelising the input side, using the interleaved technique, and mutating its inductor. The floating technique is used to reduce common mode noise by separating the grounding on the photovoltaic and converter sides. So that the proposed DC-DC converter gives the advantage of producing high voltage gain and low input current ripple. The proposed converter was tested in the laboratory and verified with theoretical analysis. text |

Renewable energy resources are currently being developed to meet the electricity needs of communities or work areas in remote areas. The power source must use effective, efficient, and reliable technology so that it is easy to use and maintain with optimal power. Photovoltaic is a technology that converts sunlight directly into electricity using solar cells.
