The charging process has a huge impact on the addition of harmonic distortion. Harmonics of SPKLU work needs to be analysed and suppressed especially on a large scale. Harmonics that occur in the network due to nonlinear loads can be reduced by filtering the harmonic distortion from entering the network. Harmonics can be suppressed by applying filters. Since the main component of the charger is a rectifier with a controller, the harmonics that appear to the grid will distort the current, so a Shunt Active Power Filter (SAPF) will be proposed to prevent the flow of harmonics into the grid due to the charging process. This filter is designed using Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) to parameterise the current value from the difference between load and fundamental currents after which the inverter is used to create reactive power locally and provide the required current to be input to the EV Charger. This filter is designed to make the charger work properly or not to disturb the EV charging process and make the power source supplied to the EVC without harmonics. MATLAB Simulink is used to simulate the work. After that the THD results of the network and load will be analysed. text
