DEVELOPING DIRECTIVE OF MAIZES COMMODITIES IN THE DRIED LAND OF GOWA REGENCY.

Abstract : <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on guidance of South Sulawesi develop-mental policy, namely a zoning commodities, Gowa regency includes KARAENGLOMPO developmental zone with the production central for Hortikulture commodities and maizes production development. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Gowa regency is one of production center of maizes for South Sulawesi having very important but facing challenge of agricultural land functional change and causing agricultural garvesting area is descreasing quantitatively and causing the maizes production in this region descreasing. Therefore, Odried land potential is enough width to be utilized. But its problems is the existence of supporting infra-structure unequalization and having varioustly potential in the various subdistricts so the allocation of productin factor is inefficiently. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Therefore, a study is necessarily worked concerning the guidance of regional development for maizes commodities in Gowa regency done by identifying the determinant factors. And all nine determinants evaluated by grouping into naturally determinant characteristics such as, harvesting area, productivity, surplus potency, dried land potential, water capacity potency, whereas non-natural factors, such as, workforces ratio, agricultural extension ratio, availability of acres infrastructur and factor socio-economi facility avaibility. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From the analisys result, obtained the districts region which have high potential, namely Tompobulu district dan Bungaya district. <br />
