The culture of eating for the Sundanese tribes society who are living in the Bandung city currently, is become one of the element which influence the behaviour and the culture of material is in theirs daily activity.
Based on that phenomena, therefore this thesis was written to observe and scrutinize the various of Sundanese food and still popular until now as well as the manner and equipment that using by Sundanese society for having a meal. Moreover, to observe how far the influence of culture within using food equipment and the interdependence between that equipment and the society.
My assumption is that food equipment currently, it seemed has adhered to Sundanese daily activities. Therefore, this issue had a relation- between environment of life that has been changed and the prevailing norms. Another thing was that, supporting by Sundanese characteristic who adaptive and accommodative, this issue was giving an opportunity the entering of various culture from outside. However, there was another characteristic that strong influence to them, namely firmness within implementing the norms from their culture, as a result the adopted of food equipment which used limited only to the manner and the various of in using of equipment. The manner in using of equipment adapted without exceeding the prevailing norms in Sundanese culture.
The conclusion is that the Bandung Sundanese society needed the food equipment which adapted with situation and condition currently.
Those statement above more or less being expected as suggestion for people who are dealing with the development of Nusantara food equipment design. |
