Summary: | The coastal area of the Plumbon River Estuary, located along the northern coast of Java,
experiences continuous erosion, potentially causing losses to the surrounding community. This
study analyzes the impact of permeable structures on erosion and sedimentation processes as
an effort to mitigate coastal erosion in the area. The Delft3D numerical model was used to simulate
hydrodynamics and sediment transport under existing conditions and after the addition of
permeable structures. The simulation results indicate that the permeable structures have a
positive impact on reducing erosion and enhancing sedimentation. |
