Description
Summary:Contamination of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) at Citarum river as source of waters for Cirata Reservoir and swift basin because domestic waste, industry, and agricultural has increased its risk to accumulated on cultured fish. The purpose of this research for gets to know bioaccumulation's potency copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) on carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) that is cultivated at Cirata Reservoir(WC) and swift basin (KAD), besides it also wants to be known by depuration's process effectiveness as effort to upgrade conducting fish. Water and fish sample is gotten from Cirata Reservoir and swift basin with samples taking frequency is 4 times in 9 weeks with after among take 3 weeks. Sample fishes out on last take to be placed at laboratory for depuration experiment. Result of measurement indicates that at accumulation phase, average of concentration of Cu and Zn in Cirata Reservoir is 0,0093 mg/L and 0,073 mg/L while average of concentration of Cu and Zn in swift basin, that is 0,0065 mg/L and 0,037 mg/L. Statistical analysis shows there are no significant differences of concentration Cu and Zn at both the locations. Concentration of Cu in fish has significant differences between WC and KAD, with average of concentration of 4,35 mg/kg (WC) and 3,41 mg/kg (KAD), while concentration of Zn in fish doesn't differ at both the locations, with average of concentration of 276,14 mg/kg (WC) and 294,45 mg/kg (KAD). At depuration phase, concentration of Cu and Zn in aquarium water with fish coming from Cirata doesn't differ with swift basin, with average of concentration of Cu in water 0,017 mg/L (WC); 0,0205 mg/L (KAD) and average of concentration of Zn in water 0,256 mg/L (WC) and 0,352 mg/L (KAD). While concentration of Cu and Zn in fish at depuration phase has difference between both the locations, average of concentration of Cu and Zn in Cirata’s depuration aquarium, that is 5,64 mg/kg and 471,54 mg/kg, besides average of concentration of Cu and Zn in KAD’s depuration aquarium, that is 3,88 mg/kg and 347,22 mg/kg respectively.Thread concentrates Cu and Zn of the greatest until one most little on phase accumulates at both the location, which is heart, gill, muscle, and scale. While at depuration phase sequence concentration of Cu in fish organ at both the locations, that is: liver > gill > muscle > scale; while for Zn, that is: liver > gill > muscle > scale ( WC); gill > liver > scale > muscle ( KAD).
