Summary:There were four variants of rice calli adapted to Lysine (Ly) 5 X 10?5 M , delta?hydroxylysine (HL) 10?5M, rhiolysine (TL) 10?4 M and no?treatment medium (Control). They were noted as variant of Ly , variant of HL , variant of TL and variant of Control (CK). It was indicated that peroxidase , catalase and glutamic?pyruvic?transaminase (GPT) activities in all of the variants of rice calli hs-°increased when those adapted calli were subcultured on regeneration media. Peroxidase activity :was° 30 ? 70 % increased and catalase activity s 25 ? 30 % i c eaa-ad., Whereas GPT activity appeared to be 300 ? 400 % higher than the former activity . Peroxidase , catalase and GPT activity fluctuations in one variant of callus were different from those enzyme activity changes in the other variants. These experimental results proved the functional effects of lysine and its analogs on peroxidase, catalase and GPT activity changes during development stages of rice calli .
