One of the widely regional critical problem is that of the lack of job, the relatively low rate of employment growth, together with the steady increasing growth of labour force. Sectorally the development of industry is putting forward as a most <br /> romising sector to overcome the problem of unemployment and underemployment of this region. This is very clear strategy as formulated in the basic principles of regional development strategy, but the performance still very faraway, not only in term of creating more job but the low rate of contribution ho Regional Domestic Product, is the other side of reality. By using Multicorrelation Model of analysis, we come to a conclusion that there is a significant correlation between Variables of industrial development, as an independent variableand dependent variable in this case employment that could be created by manufacture ( large and medium scale ). The result of calculation is 0, 94. Beside the multicorrelation model, this thesis also concern with elastisity or Sensitivity Model. The important of using the model is to show the growth of regional Economic as a whole and how far the industrial growth affect the growth of employment opportunity. The result is that the 0,36 and 0,45 for both Economic and industrial respectively. It means that every one percent of economic and industrial growth, will create the employment opportunity by 0,36 percent for regional as a whole and 0,45 percent for industrial sector. The using of Location quotient model, shows the implication that there is a highly concentration of manufacturing firm in Surakarta as a growth pole of South East Central Java sub region Development. The figure indicated that 36 percent of total manufacturing firm is located in this sub region, followed by 24 percent in Pekalongan as the growth pole of North West Central Java sub Development Region. Obviously these kind of Model Analysis is only a few among so many models, that can be applicated, but the problem of in sufficient data available, is the common problem for all model using in analysis. Even in fact, the limitation and the weaknesses of this model, but hence the result of the analysis may bring us to a tiny understanding of employment problem in Central Java text |
