Description
Summary:In Land Information System, geometrical data used to define geographic reference must be in the same system. Beside terrestrial method , photogrammetric method is an alternative solution which caxi be used in geometrical data collecting. In collecting geometrical data from aerial photograph ,instrument and data source are the factors which must be considered. Besides the conventional stereo photogrammetric restitution method, another alternative which could still be developed is the data collection based on digitizing of single photo approach. The obyective of this thesis is to study the possibility of the above mentioned method can be applied in practice, especially for the Land Information System purpose. Aerial photographs at 1:5500 scale were used for the experiment.
In addition to the method of data collecting, a study on semantic and geometrical data structuring has also been elaborated in this thesis. The geometric accuracy obtained by this method could infact satisfy the requirement for Land Information Systems purpose. But for the purpose of Land Regristration and Ipeda, the performance of the method still can not meet the requirements. Even though, the accuracy of results seems still can be increased by considering a good control point, accurate point identification as well as material stability.
A model on data structure developed in this thesis may perhaps be used for further wider application.
