This study can be done using physical and mathematical models. Along with the computer technology innovation, mathematical model has been going through rapid development, with the occurrence numerical model solution which more easy can be use for difference condition and more fast to make ready information needs. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The Galerkin weighted residual finite elemen method is one of available method that can be applied in river s sediment transport case. In this method; sediment transport process stated with convection-diffusion differential equation. A number of rivers morphology change have been performed and the result show that this model was capable of showing important physical phenomenon that generally observed around the rivers structure being simulated. The validation of numerical model was made by comparing the model results with the report laboratory experiment of other researches. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From the river s sediment transport case, it can be concluded that calculation using Galerkin weighted residual finite elemen method gives a good result, so that the formulation have been discuss can applied to others problem which it has same governing equation form. text
