Operationally, clean water service that PDAM Badaksinga provide has not yet complete the need of the society altogether. In terms of increasing its service quality, PDAM Badaksinga add a new source of water intake that is derived from Dago Bengkok. As much as 300 lps water will be directly transmitted to Badaksinga water treatment plant, which then will increase the production capacity of PDAM Badaksinga. This research is done to model the quality improvement on existing water distribution system and to model the possible extension of the system. Extension is made to the service areas with relatively high pressure residue; this is considering that service area with high pressure residue makes it possible to supply water to further area. Simulation made in this model is done with extension to East Bandung service zone. Using EPANET 2.0, simulations of hydraulic condition are made in several scenarios. These scenarios are differed based on the varying allocation provided for the existing distribution network and for the extension. From the scenario with most optimum result, intermittent water supply system then developed. text |
