Description
Summary:This research aims to study the chemical content of the root bark of Artocarpus communis growing in West Java. The Isolation of the secondary metabolite involved three stages of extraction, fractionation, and purification using a number of chromatography method. The structures of pure compounds were determined based on the analysis of spectroscopic data

UV, IR, and NMR. Based on these works, two prenylated flavanoids, that is cycloartobiloxanthone and morusin, have been isolated and identified from the methanol extract.
