This obligates ITB to change its organizational structure by adding a new profit making organ. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This gave birth to PT LAPI-ITB, as the profit generator of ITB. This company was born in 2004 and has a vision to be a corporation based on science, technology, and art. Although there are three fields in which the company provide service for, technology, training, and consultancy, most of the project involves consultancy. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> As a company that provides service, PT LAPI-ITB serve two kinds of customers, external customers and internal customers. In the big scheme of things, this put PT LAPI ITB in a unique position. To fulfill its mission as the forefront company based on science, technology, and art, this position will influence the company overall strategy, and thus needs an HR Strategy that could support such role. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Compensation is one of the factors that could support such role. In determining base pay, the first concern in a compensation system must is fairness, this must be perceived by both parties (employer and employee). To design a compensation system that is fair, it needed to begin with implementing the method that will most support such character, and the method chosen is point method. The basis of this research is a research conducted by Benny Banu Aji, which uses Factor Evaluation System. The result of that research will be converted into a base pay that consider the synergize the concept of internal alignment and external competitiveness. <br /> text
