It is also used as diesel fuel.. The alkyl ester can be synthesized by esterification of the hydrolysis products of these glyceride. This step wise processed isn\'t efficient. In these studies, the direct transformation of glyceride to its alkyl ester, the methode interesterification— alcoholysis has been carried out. Physical and chemical properties examination (acid value, saponification value, iod value, ester value, density and viscosity) shown that the best result are found in the system reflux azeotropic dehydration, catalyzed by 5% HC1 in absolute ethanol, and refluxed for 8 hours. The purity of products is also checked by infrared spectroscopy text |
