ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> Recently, many companies have power to buy sophisticated production technology, but only few could use the technology toward their goals optimally. One reason is the human resources in that company do not have the requirement skills and abilities. <br /> <br /> <br /> Human is considered as the most important resource in the achieving organization goals, without human resource supporting, its difficult for them to achieve their goals. Upon this reason, companys human resource should be developed. <br /> <br /> <br /> PT Medion manufactures and distributes veterinary products such as vitamins, medicine, vaccine, and poultry equipment. Its production system uses sophisticated technology. What becomes the question now is, could PT Medion survive and maintain its market share in the changing business environment. PT Medion faces a problem with the uneven distribution of employees skill and knowledge. <br /> <br /> <br /> PT Median, must set a human resource strategy to build companys competitive advantage. This strategy is to build the skills in using technology and to build attitudes to accept the changes, which can improve the performance and productivity of the company. This strategy is formulated in a form of human resources development program, which is supported by human management process. Based on this strategy, the human resources program can be formulated, and have focus on the development and training program for the employees of PT Medion.
