Summary:In photogrammetric mapping, one problem that must been solved is restitution of two overlapping photogrammetric image in such a manner to get good 3D Model for spatial data extraction that related with mapping elements. 3D model can be formed from conjugate points in model. Relation of conjugate points can be searched by measruring image correlation value. Image correlation measurement can be obtained trough image matching procces by matches overlapping object in left image with same object in right image. Image matching technique that used in this research is area based method. To get a better image, so changing distribution of intensity value is needed trough histogram equalization in such a manner pixel in every different objects have a strict brightness value. There for need to learn how far histogram equalization increase the successfull of image matching. According to all observation, in homogen area or heterogen area, histogram equalization not good for increasing the succesfull of image matching.
