Abstract : <br /> <br /> <br /> Implementation of ISO-9000 quality management system standard is getting more important because more countries adopt this standard to be their national standard. Therefore, the companies that would market their products into the countries should have the ISO-9000 certificates. For producers importance, the implementation of ISO-9000 quality management system can improve their quality system performance. <br /> <br /> <br /> A research has been carried out to develop an expert system as a tool to help the implementation of ISO-9000 quality management system. The main function of the expert system is to evaluate quality management system of a company compared with ISO-9002 standard and to give explanations how to comply ISO-9002 requirements. The scope of the system is limited to ISO-9002 model which is designed only for a manufacture that produces goods. The expert system also provides an explanation about quality manual. This includes the quality manual sample generation. The knowledge of this expert system came from several books written by some experts of ISO-9000. The model of ISO-9002 implementation evaluation has been developed from some previous relevant researches where ISO-9002 standard was formed as a hierarchy of requirements. Based on the hierarchy, knowledge of the evaluation is represented with if-then rules model. The expert system was written in Delphi 3.0 by using a personal computer. The knowledge base of the expert system was saved in the format of Paradox-7. <br />
