A purpose of Project Controlling is to keep the project on the line in accordance with project goal, so that the project can be done on time, with reasonable cost and expected quality. <br /> <br /> Controlling cycle consists of three main factors : planning or standards, actuating and evaluating. Evaluating means comparing the task performance with the plan or the standard If deviations are found, then some corrections will be needed to meet the projec's• goal. <br /> <br /> This thesis is a case study on a building construction project. The objectives from this project controlling improvement are : <br /> <br /> 1. to promoting the assistance director's role to assist director on <br /> <br /> project controlling. <br /> <br /> 2. to assist director in making managerial decisions by using controlling system as the basic consideration. <br /> <br /> 3. by using controlling tools, all of' the personal in the project have <br /> <br /> the responsibility to prevent delays, especially for critical activity. <br /> <br /> Analizing controlling project system concentrates on schedule-controlling. 'I he focus from this project controlling improvement is on the project evaluating system. Support from another part of controlling system which are planning, monitoring and information system is needed to improve the evaluating system. <br /> <br /> From this building project case, comparison between planning and actual results some deviations that cause the project to be late. With implementing some correcting actions, the project is expected to be finished nearly on time. <br /> text
