With the digital signature system, these security service can be covered. One of the suitable algorithm is RSA. RSA is a public key cryptography, where reliability of the algorithm does not only depend on the complexity of the algorithm itself, but also the possesion of the key. A software for simulating digital signature system on short message communication will be built using J2ME Wireless Toolkit 2.0 as tool, and Object Oriented Software Engineering as a software development approach. Software implementation will be run on an emulator and also on mobile device, to test the software and the performance of the RSA algorithm on mobile device. text
