Summary: | Fractures have important role in stores and produces hydrocarbon, especially in reservoir which has insufficient permeability in matrix. Fracture contributes 0.5 until 1.5% of porosity from the total reservoir porosity. This value is too low to be detected by the existing porosity logs. One of the way to investigate a fracture character which crosses the borehole is using geophysics measurement in the borehole. Although the present methods is able to determine the fracture parameter, sometimes these methods gave no fixed result. This study is made in order to optimize sonic log measurement to obtain more accurate result. <br />
