Description
Summary:The aim of land registration in Indonesia is to provide a legal assurance and protection to the holder of right to land parcel which is stated in the land certificate. The measurement of land boundaries is a part of land registration procedure that is carried out by Badan Pertanahan Nasional Republik Indonesia (BPN-RI). All measurements have to refer to control points which is represented and categorized in the form as 2nd, 3rd, and 4th ordes, known as classical control points. The total number of the required control points can be quite large. It can reach millions. However, the distributions of these points have not covered Indonesia's entire region yet. This is mainly due to the high budgeting in establishing the control points. This, in return prolongs land parcel mapping task in Indonesia. To overcome this problem and to accelerate land parcel mapping, GPS CORS (Global Positioning System Continuously Operating Reference Stations) system is proposed as an alternative technology to replace classical control points. In this research, study and analysis on various aspects related to implementation of GPS CORS system for land parcel mapping is carried out. However, in its implementation BPN have to provide competence human resources and their management in order to handle such a system.
