Preliminary screening showed a stimulation effect on central nervous system in male mice. Oral doses of 0.89, 1.33, and 2.00 g/kg body weight showed a significant (P<0,01) increase in spontaneous motor activity and exploratory behaviour in both mice and rats, decrease the hypnotic effect of barbiturate, protected the ptosis effect induced by reserpin and enhanced the swimming duration. The lowest dose which showed a significant (P<0.01) central nervous system stimulation effect was 0,89 g/kg body weight in both mice and rat. <br /> <br /> text |
