Rendemen of this compound is 90,73%. Chemical formula of the complex is obtained from the contents of metal ions and supporting CHN elements, that is percent of weight of Fe=10,81%, Ni=11,60%, C=39,25%, H=3,33% and N=16,16%. The existence of hydrates water is shown by TG/DTA thermogram. This complex dissolves in propanol and does not give a significant conductivity. The solution of this complex has a maximum absorption at 497 nm. The highest absorption happened when the ratio of Fe(II) to Ni(II) complexes= 1:2.The infared spectra of the complex shows characteristic peaks for components of the complex. The peak at 3441 cm-1 shows the existence of hydrates water. The Peaks at 2952 cm-1, 1455 cm-1, 1348 cm-1, 1110 cm-1, and 890 cm-1 show the existence of pyq and the peak at 1705 cm-1 shows CN as bridging ligand. This compound is paramagnetic with magnetic moment of 4,3 BM at room temperature. The crystalinity of this complex is lower than that of Fe(py)2[Ni(CN)4].2H20 as shown by powder X-ray diffraction pattern. <br /> text |
