One of the problem that occurred in crude oil is when trasportating crude oil inside the pipe line. Waxing is happenend because of oil temperature inside the pipe is below cloud point temperature. The main factor that cause temperature decrease inside the pipe is oil heat loss because of differential temperature between oil and environment.<p>This final project is discuss about determining intial location that paraffin deposition is occurred, location of electric heater installation using commercial simulation program, preventing oil paraffin deposition in very economically location for electric heater installation with heater power as small as possible from various location that has been determined. Ambient temperature, Heat Transfer Coefficient, pipe diameter, oil flow rate is one of important topic that discussed, because it can determine heat loss, pressure and temperature that occurred inside the pipe.<p>The result of this final project shows that economic heater instalation location depend on electric heater performance to design paraffin oil transportation system, especially to determine oil heating step that needed to maintance oil temperature above cloud point temperature by using commercial simulation program. <br /> text
