Health has always been the main of everything and has been the basic of doing activities in life to reach goals. Even mountainous money and treasures would still not make us happy. Without a good condition on health, a person would not be able to do his or her activities and there would be no maximum result in reaching the goals. People tend to be vulnerable to diseases especially those living in big cities where pollution is so prevalent. Therefore they need facilities that provide health care services for medication and prevention of those illnesses. Moreover, as possible as it could be, instead of curing, prevention of diseases is better done. Realizing that health has been a very important aspect to be paid attention to, public health care facilities are needed such as hospitals, clinics, puskesmas, and others. So, as a student taking a bachelor degree on Business and Management, I am interested in planning an establishment of a public medication facility; clinic, by implementing the theories learned. The clinic that I chose to carry out in this final project is an Acupuncture Clinic named Vega Qi Acupuncture Clinic. Vega Qi Acupuncture Clinic is an acupuncture clinic that is established on July 2006 by a sole owner, Dra. Yanti Astuti. It is located at Complex DKI Blok R5 no 2, RT 03 / RW 02, Kecamatan Duren Sawit, Kelurahan Pondok Kelapa, Kalimalang, Jakarta Timur. This company runs on health sector that focuses on alternative medication and has a legal number of ownership PPT/Ak.328/09.05.04.7/08.08. It serves services to customer (patients, as it is usually called) which consist of 6 types; Acupuncture, Acupressure, Totog, Bekam, Reflexology, and Ear Therapy. Services are given directly to patients by therapist. Vega Qi Acupuncture Clinic is a new business emerging in the market with many competitors that positions itself as Vega Qi’s threat, still has plenty weakness, but has high opportunity of emerging market and enough strength to survive in the market. Aligning with the needs of people regarding health caring and disease prevention; and with the latest trends of traditional - holistic approach commonly considered in, Vega Qi focuses on the application and implementation of principles, belief, and utilization of traditional alternative health problem solutions. Having faith that this trend will stay up for many years to come I continue the management of Vega Qi clinic. I hope that by constructing new business concepts and system management for Vega Qi, it can return Vega Qi to a stronger position, and all the operational activities conducted will be align with the targets planned.
