For these reasons, physics teacher’s creativity is required to build some teaching aid such as instrument for measuring sound wave speed. The principle used in designing a sound wave speed instrument is relating sound interferensi phenomena with the sound speed and also air temperature as propagation medium. The sound speed is calculated based on the wave length measurement result obtained by measuring wave trajectory difference in the quincke pipe made from stainless steel equiped by electrical heater and controller kit consists of temperature inside the pipe can be measured and controlled acording to the requirement.<p>The result of research showed that the instrument design which was made could be used to measure sound speed on the air at various temperature and could explain interference phenomena.The result of measurement in physics laboratory BSCA ITB for the influence mean of temperature to sound speed on the air showed that for every 1o C temperature increase couses 0,5708 m/s oC sound speed increase. While according to the literature for every 1o C temperature increase causes 0,61 m/so C sound speed increase, if they were compared, there would be a difference equal to 0,0392 or 6,421%. text
