Martensite phase can form martensite island in ferrite region (called Isolated Martensite) and it also can be distributed around ferrite grain boundary (called Network Martensite). Tensile strain variation and holding of temperature in subcritical annealing step was given to stell specimen 1.179%C-1.199%Mn was result of hot rolled that was continued by intercritical annealing step, produced Dual Phase Steel with isolated morphology. While intercritical step was done directly to the same specimen could produce network martensite morphology. Both of intercritical annealing process was done with constant heating rate.<p>Tensile test result of both Dual Phase Steel morphology reported enhancement of tensile strength from 494 MPa to 885 MPa for Dual Phase Steel with isolated martensite morphology and 992 MPa for network martensite morphology. Network martensite and isolated martensite morphology has total elongation 14.3% and 12.5%. Strengthen that was happened along ferrite grain boundary in Dual Phase Steel with network martensite morphology has important role to strength and ductility that was produced. text |
