Kepmen LH No. 141 Tahun 2003, about the limit of vehicle's exhaust emission, has decided about the limitation of exhaust emission for new vehicles started at January 1st 2005 and for production vehicles started at January 1st 2007.

From that rules the limit of emission is fixed for CO and HC+NOx in gr/km unit which is tested based on ECE R83 standard. This standard test is done by measuring the exhaust emission of the vehicle that is running on the chassis dynamometer. LGV should've been has a low emission, but it could not fulfill the Euro 2 standard that is used in Kepmen LH No. 141 Tahun 2003.

From the experiments, known that the exhaust emission of LGV with ECE R83 standard, is overlimit. The results; CO is about 10 gr/km and HC+NOx is about 1.2 gr/km, it happened because on the deceleration, the controller of LGV fuel supply is still open. The total emission of LGV is smaller about 15 % than the total emission of Pertamax and Premium. This is happened because the amount of C atoms in the LGV are less than gasoline (C6+). |
