Today, Gasibu square has important function for Bandung city. It has function as town square of traditional city. At the beginning its primary function is a sport area then attracted the seller to sale here. Since, Gasibu square located in office region, trade activities increase in number and occur continuously. A long with its development, a weekly market is held along the street around Monumen and Gasibu square every Sunday. This weekly market is called Gasibu Market. Gasibu market activities produce waste as its by product. From the research is known the waste production is around 0,1 kg/m2. The biggest composition of the waste is organic waste between 76% to 79%. Then, plastic waste composition is between 12% to 14%, paper waste composition is between 4% to 7%, the Styrofoam waste composition is between 0,4% to 3%, and rubber, tree branches, textiles composition are less than 1% even sometimes did not exist. Organic, plastic, paper, tree branches, rubber, and textiles waste percentage were tend to constant, while Styrofoam waste percentage was tend to increase slightly. <br /> <br />
