Diesel engine needs another fuel that can auto-ignite as pilot igniter. This research purpose is to quantify the best of LPG and diesel oil composition.<p>Exhaust gas emissions, performance, and economical benefit are parameters that will be observed. Major factor from performance are specific fuel consumption and thermal efficiency. HC, CO2, CO, and opacity will compare to pure diesel oil in order to determine the best exhaust gas emissions. Fuel composition that will compare which is 27%, 50%, 63%, 75%, 85%, and 92% LPG. From the result, it is observed that dual fuel thermal efficiency tended to lower than pure diesel oil. HC and CO content tended to increase. In the other hand, content of CO2 and opacity better than diesel oil. Economical benefit only seen on 27% and 50% LPG at high load. Generally, 50% LPG is the best variation.<p>Incomplete combustion should be reduced to improve thermal efficiency. Main factor that causing incomplete combustion is long ignition delay period.
