Using wrong translation style or strategy can really make the result of translation become different with what the translation result was supposed to be. The writer found out there were nine translation strategies used in translating tourism promotion leaflets; they were omission, addition, borrowing, subtraction, synonym, depreciation, expansion, transposition, and culture equivalent. Furthermore, the writer found out there were three language styles used in translating promotion leaflets; they were familiar language, simple vocabulary, and informative.
