Summary: | An experiment was carried to study the effect of the use of white mussel flour on feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio of broilers. This study used a completely randomized design consist 4 treatments and 5 replications. The study used DOC ( Day Old Chick ) with the strain Lohman MB 202 Platinum for 20 animals . The treatment in this study was ration without using 0% white mussel flour (P0), ration using 10% white mussel flour (P1), ration using 12.5% white mussel flour (P2), ration using 15% white mussel flour (P3). Variables observed were feed consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion ratio. The results showed the ration using white mussel flour were significantly different (p<0.05) to feed consumption, indicated by the results of the P2 analysis was significantly different from P3. P0, P1, P2 not significantly difference. P0, P1, P3 not significantly different, whereas for body weight gain the results were not significantly different (p> 0.05) and significantly affected (p<0.05) on the conversion ratio of broilers feed shown by the results of analysis of P1, P2 , P3 shows not significantly difference. P1 and P2 show real differences with P0. P0 is not significantly different from P3. Based on the results of the study, the use of white mussel flour of 10%, 12.5% and 15% can increase feed consumption and body weight gain as well as reduce feed conversion of male broilers. |
