Masteringthe use of conjunction is very essential to avoid misunderstanding. In Japanese, conjunction is also called setsuzokushi. Setsuzokushi has seven types in it, one ofwhich is gyakusetsu no setsuzokushi which is used quite often. Inside gyakusetsuno setsuzokushi, there are various setsuzokushi in it, such as toshitemo ~nishitemo,~nishiro, and ~niseyo. All four setsuzokushi have the same meaning whentranslated into bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language). As a result, Indonesianlearning Japanese may struggle to choose the right setsuzokushi to use. Based onthis issue, this study determines the structure and meaning of each conjunction tofind the similarities and differences of each of these conjunctions. The methodused in this research is descriptive qualitative. This study uses syntactic andsemantic theories to determine the structure and meaning of each conjunction. After analyzing each data, it can be concluded that structurally, the fourconjunctions can be attached to the verb word classes, adjectives, and nouns, while the pronouns can only be attached to the conjunction of ~nishitemo, ~nishiro, and ~niseyo. In terms of meaning, all four conjunctions have the samemeaning, which can show the opposite. However, in terms of context, all fourhave differences in meaning, such as context of person, context of purpose, andcontext of formal.
