Prosthodontics Background: Dental impression is an important stage in the preparation of dental prostheses. Fixed bridge abutments impression needs high accuracy and good dimension stability. Delayed pouring of impression material could happened on limited factor of the dentist and assistant in sending the impression to dental laboratory. Impression material should not distort during the storage period. The distortion of the inter abutment linear dimension will disturb the path of insertion bridge. Purpose: to investigate the effect of delayed pouring polyether impression material on the linear dimensional change on die of the gypsum type IV. Material and Methods: polyether impression material was taken on stainless steel master model. The impression was poured by type IV gypsum after stored for 30 minutes, 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days. The impression was stored in a box at + 51% - 56% relative humidity and + 270 C room temperature. Type IV gypsum was poured to the impression placed on the vibrator, with the composition of 24 ml : 100 gr W/P ratio. Linear dimension was measured by a digital caliper. The data was analyzed by one-way Anova test (α = 0.05). Result: the means value of linear dimension on 30 minutes delayed pouring (control group) is 18.979 mm, 1 day delayed pouring (P1 group) is 18.983 mm, 3 days delayed pouring (P2 group) is 18.981 mm, 7 days delayed pouring (P3 group) is 18.978 mm.
