Work on the high environment temperature on the hull with the WBGT index at 33 oC which is exceeding the maximum value of WBGT 32.5 oC. There is no data that can be used to assess the level of job security for ship tank workers at PT. X while using the TWL method. For this reason, an evaluation is needed regarding the magnitude of the possibility of physiological strains among ship tank workers. The purpose of this study was to measure the proportion of the risk of physiological strains based on the value of the Physiological Strain Index (PSI) to determine the optimum safe duration for worker to perform heavy work with the risk of physiological strains based on final PSI values. This study uses a primary data by measuring worker’s PSI on the hot temperature confined space with the repetitive measurement on May until June 2020. The population is data on workers who work on the tank and meet the research and sampling criteria with a total population of 29 workers. The variables in this study are work safe duration, individual charactheristic, work characteristic, and environment characteristic. Data collection is using questionnaires, interviews, and measurements. The results showed the safe limit for working in a tank that is exposed to heat was 49 minutes with a PSI value of 6,985 which was in the moderate category or still within safe limits. The variables that had strong relationship with PSI were sequential were pulse, TWL, nutritional status, age and WBGT The advice gave to company that safety and health department must check body temperature and pulse thoroughly, carry out hierarchical control, especially in the method of elimination / substitution. 2021 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/1/1.%20HALAMAN%20DEPAN.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/2/2.%20ABSTRACT.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/3/3.%20DAFTAR%20ISI.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/4/4.%20BAB%201%20PENDAHULUAN.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/5/5.%20BAB%202%20TINJAUAN%20PUSTAKA.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/6/6.%20BAB%203%20KERANGKA%20KONSEPTUAL%20PENELITIAN.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/7/7.%20BAB%204%20METODOLOGI%20PENELITIAN.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/8/8.%20BAB%205%20HASIL%20DAN%20ANALISIS%20DATA.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/9/9.%20BAB%206%20PEMBAHASAN.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/10/10.%20BAB%207%20PENUTUP.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/11/11.%20DAFTAR%20PUSTAKA.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/12/12.%20LAMPIRAN.pdf text id http://repository.unair.ac.id/107602/13/TKK.03-21-kesediaan%20%281%29%20-%20ahmad%20muslih.pdf Ahmad Muslih Bambang Sugiharta, - (2021) Batas Aman Lama Kerja Dalam Vessel Dengan Suhu Di Atas Batas Thermal Work Limit (Twl) Berdasarkan Physiological Strain Index (Psi) PT. The advice gave to company that safety and health department must check body temperature and pulse thoroughly, carry out hierarchical control, especially in the method of elimination / substitution. |
