Summary:This study aimed to find the total number of bacteria etawa goat milk at the beginning and end of milking in Wonosari, Malang. The milk is collected starting from the second emission of milking. Thirty-six samples were taken from nine farms in Bangelan, Wonosari in three weeks. The average total colony was 4,2x105 CFU/ml at the beginning and 4,1x105 CFU/ml at the end of milking. The number of bacteria at the beginning of milking is higher than at the end of milking. The result showed that samples were exceeding the limit of the level of Total Plate Count (TPC) according to Thai Agricultural Standart (2008) which is 2,0 x 105. So that it is not suitable for public consumption, needs to be processed first so that it is safe for consumption. In the Paired Samples Test, p >0,05 showed no significant difference between the beginning and end of milking.
