Summary: | Maternal mortality is a problem in Indonesia every year. Maternal mortality became one of the main focuses in the Millennials Development Goals (MDG's) from 2000 to 2015 and continue with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) starting in 2016. The increase of maternal mortality rate (MMR) in East Java between 2015-2018 was higher than the decrease of maternal mortality rate. The study design in this study was cross sectional. This study uses a total population of 38 regencies and cities in East Java Province. This study used secondary data from the East Java Health Profile 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. The independent variables in this study were the coverage of Fe tablets giving program, coverage of K1 and K4 visits, coverage of obstetric complications management, coverage of Tetanus toxoid immunization. and coverage of postpartum care. Maternal mortality rate is the dependent variable. The statistical test used is the linear regression test. The results are the coverage of Fe tablets giving program with a p-value of 0.001 (p <0.05), the coverage of the K1 visit with a p-value of 0.889 (p> 0.05), the coverage of the K4 visit with a p-value. of 0.000 (p <0.05), the coverage of obstetric complications management with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05), the coverage of Tetanus toxoid immunization with a p-value of 0.285 (p >0.05 , and coverage of postpartum care with a p-value of 0.183 (p >0.05). The conclusion from the results of this study is the coverage of Fe tablets, the coverage of K4 visits, and the coverage of obstetric complications managements of maternal mortality have an effect on maternal mortality. Decrease the maternal mortality rate can be implemented by optimizing the Fe tablets giving program, K4 visits program, and obstetric complications managements program. |
