Chalcone and its two methoxy derivatives have been synthesized by a simple Claisen-Schmidt condensation in presence of NaOH 60%. The reactions were carried out at room temperature for about 15 -105 minutes and provided the desired compounds in about 73-96% yields. The structure of the compounds was...
