Translation is an activity of changing a language orally or written in another language. In medical journal publications, translation is the essential thing in spreading knowledge of new research knowledge. The purpose of translating the medical journal article is to transfer the results of research that has been done to people around the world. In translating medical journal article, translator should employ appropriate principles and procedures to make a good translation result. A medical journal article in Indonesian Language was analyzed in this report using Newmark and Alan Duff theory. The analysis shows that there are two principles using Newmark theory, namely Meaning and Source Language Influence. Meanwhile, there are two procedures using Alan Duff theory, namely Naturalization and Transference. |
