My Sister’s Keeper is a novel about the main character, thirteen years old Anna Fitzgerald who sues her parents for the right of her own body. This thesis is aimed to describe the characterization of Anna Fitzgerald and her dilemmatic decision portrayed in the novel and to explain how the inner conflict of Anna support the theme of the novel. In analyzing Anna’s character and her dilemmatic decision, the thesis writer uses theory of New Criticism based on the element of fiction which is characterization, plot and theme. This thesis discussed characterization of Anna Fitzgerald and her moral dilemma. The thesis writer reveals the main character moral dilemma through her conflicts in the story. The thesis writer then found that the character of Anna Fitzgerald represent the theme of morality in the novel.
