In this study, the writer took the data from the child’s conversation with others surrounding him. The data were the child’s utterances which were recorded. The findings showed that the child produced all the speech acts except the type of Demands for Clarification. The speech acts produced by the child were Directives and Responses (20,7%), Speech Elicitations and Responses (17,9%), Statements and Responses (16,3%), Declarations and Responses (14,9%), Questions and Responses (13,9%), Commitments and Responses (6,0%), Evaluations (5,5%), Markings and Responses (2,5%), Performances (1,2%), Vocalizations (1,1%), and Text Editing (0,1%). Therefore, the most frequent speech acts produced by the child was Directives and Responses by mostly attempting to request action for the other. It is due to the facts that the child at this age seemed not concern to others and that the child’s ability in concerning to others might emerge later. 2013 Thesis NonPeerReviewed text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/1/1.%20HALAMAN%20JUDUL.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/2/2.%20DAFTAR%20ISI.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/3/3.%20ABSTRAK.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/4/4.%20BAB%20I%20PENDAHULUAN.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/5/5.%20BAB%20II%20TINJAUAN%20PUSTAKA.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/6/6.%20BAB%20III%20METODOLOGI%20PENELITIAN.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/7/7.%20BAB%20IV%20HASIL%20DAN%20ANALISA.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/8/8.%20BAB%20V%20KESIMPULAN.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/9/9.%20DAFTAR%20PUSTAKA.pdf text en https://repository.unair.ac.id/117577/10/10.%20LAMPIRAN.pdf Tatak Setiadi (2013) Types of Speech-Acts in A Two-Year Old Javanese Child’s Utterances.
