Penentuan usia growth spurt pubertal mandibula perempuan berdasarkan Cervical Vertebral Maturation Indicators (Determination of female mandible pubertal growth spurt age based on cervical vertebral maturation of indicators)

Summary: | Skeletal maturation is generally used as an indicator in estimating the peak speed of mandibular growth. A method
for measuring skeletal maturation among others is Cervical Vertebral Maturation Indicators (CVMIs). CVMIs is the indicator
used in the radiographic analysis of cervical vertebrae through the bottom edge of the concavity corpus, corpus height, and shape
of cervical vertebrae so it will give information about the rate of growth. Purpose : To assess the pubertal growth spurt in female
using Cervical Vertebral Maturation Indicators (CVMIs). Method : The sample were derived from lateral cephalogram of 30
female subjects registered as orthodontic patients. The age was between 9 years and 14 years, so that they were within the
pubertal period. Results : Data that obtained from descriptive observasional were tested with Kruskal-Wallis Test followed by
Mann-Whitney test. There was a significant difference between age group and between two age group. Conclusion : Female
mandible pubertal growth spurt age as measured by Cervical Vertebral Maturation Indicators (CVMIs) occurs at age 12-13
years, in Cervical Stages 3 and 4 (CVS 3 and 4). |
