People who drink rosella might wear denture. Acrylic have porosity and ability to absorb liquid dye which can cause discoloration in teeth element acrylic. The dye anthocyanin in rosella may cause discoloration of teeth element acrylic. Purpose: To find out effect of rosella drink in head cured acrylic resin color. Method: Twenty eight square-shaped head cured acrylic plates with the size 26mm x 26mm and with thickness Imm. They were divided into 4 groups. Group 1 was immersed in aquadest for 37 hours. Group 2 was immersed in rosella drink for 37 hours. Group 3 was immersed in aquadest for 49 hours. Group 4 was immersed in rosella drink for 49 hours. Measurement using spectrometer optic, photocell type BPY -46, and microvolt digital. The result was analyzed with Anova Result: There is no significant differences between control and treatment groups, p=O,173 (p>o,05). Conclusion: Rosella drink doesn't affect the color of teeth element until 49 hours immersion (equal with 2 years wear denture) |
