Smoking is a leading risk factor for premature disability and mortality from several causes. The leading causes of death from smoking are cardiovascular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and lung cancer. Knowing the harm of tobacco smoking, a lot of smokers made an effort to quit, such as nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) and behavioural techniques, but there is a relatively low success rate. Because of the limitations of conventional techniques for smoking cessation, many smokers have searched for help in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) such as acupuncture and herbs medicine. According to TCM, The main target organ for a tobacco smoker is the lung. The lung is one of the most important organs responsible for the transformation and distribution of O. It converts inspired fresh air into Zhong i and cigarette smoking disturbs the process. The key acupoints have usually specific function in treatment. Thus, Tiamveixue (EX-UE-21), Kongzui (LU-6), and Sanyinjiao (SP-6) are chosen for eliminate heat and replenish lung Chi also herb treatment with radish seed teabag (Raphanus sativus L) not only to synergistic effects of antioxidant activity but also nicotine degradation activity. Acupuncture treatment were given 1 seri divided in 4 stages. Herb treatment with Radish seed teabag (Raphanus sativus L.) took three times a day 1 teabag @3 gram. Success of smoking cessation was confirm by testimony showed the craving of tobacco was decreased significantly by 54% and reduce smoking withdrawal symptoms of smoking cessation. Acupuncture also reduce the symptoms as restlessness, short breath, and blurred vision. Consistency and discipline of acupuncture and herb treatment can reduce cigarette smoking, or even quit smoking completely. The result obtained in this study case suggest, that acupuncture on the acupoint Tiatnveixue (EX-UE-21), Kongzui (LU-6), and Sanyinjiao (SP-6) also herb treatment with radish seed teabag (Raphanus sativus L) can reduce cigarette smoking.
