morphine for postoperative pain Methods: From February 2005 to September 2005, elective herniotomy patients divided into two group. the first were given psychological approach one day before operation and the other awere not. They receiving continuos iv-morphine subsequent to regional anesthesia. The NSAID (ketorolac) 10 mg are given if the subject reporting pain with 4-5 Visual Analogue pain Score, maximum 3 doses. At the end of study both group were compared.
Result : In total 16 patients, the psychological approach group report only one patients
require NSAID supplement compare to 7 patients on the other group (p<o,05). Age, education, were recorded.
Conclusion: Psychological approach has significantly decreased the requirement of morphine postoperative herniotomy pain. |
