Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of predominant health problems that requires particular attention. Hipnoteraphy is a process to reeducation subconcius mind, removed negative perception with positif perception. Hipnoteraphy is an alternative to reduce blood pressure. The objective of this study was to find the effect of Hipnoteraphy on the reduction of blood pressure in hypertensive patients age 18-45 years. This was a pre-experimental study using one group pre test-post test design. Samples were selected based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling with total respondents of 11 persons. The independent variable was hipnotherapy and the dependent variable was blood pressure . Data were collected using observation sheet. Collected data were analyzed with paired t test with significance level of  < 0.05. Results showed that there was significant reduction in blood pressure between pre-test and post-test for systolic pressure with paired t-test statistical test revealed p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). and pre-test post-test diastolic pressure with paired t-test statistical test revealed p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). It can be concluded that there is an effect of Hipnoteraphy on blood pressure reduction in hypertensive patients. By Hipnoteraphy we can reeducated negative with positive suggestion . it can effected hipothalamo adrenal pituitary ( HPA) axis and automic nerve system or otonomous nervous system will stimulate hypothalamus to reduce secretion cortikotropin releasing factor ( CRF) that followed degradation of Adrenokortikotropik Hormone ( ACTH). adrenal medulla responsed by reducing secretion of katekolamin then resistance perifer and cardiac output reduced. There is a need to carry out further studies involving respondents control and the consideration of factors that may affect blood pressure reduction using in vitro instruments
