Pharmacology SB Plant culture Fifty male white mice (2 - 3 months old) were used in these experiment to study the effect of Eclipta alba L. Hassk extract on the level of SGOT I SGPT and the percentage of liver cell injury induced by Carbon Tetrachloride (CCI4). Mice were divided into five groups of ten each and were treated as follows: ·• Group P0_1 : as negative control were given CMC 1% for eight days. • Group Po-2 : as positive control were given CMC 1% for eight days. • Group P1 : were given Eclipta alba L. Hassk extract 0.625 m9/9 sw for eight days. • Group P2 : were given Eclipta alba L. Hassk extract 0.09375 m9/9 sw for eight days. • Group P3 : were given Eclipta alba L. Hassk extract 0.125 m9/9 sw for eight days. At the 8th day were given CCI4 0. 77 m9/9 sw to each group except the group Po-1 was given coconut oil (as control group). This research is true experimental, the method used randomized, the post only controls group design. The mice were killed 10 days later, blood were processed to measure the level of SGOT I SGPT and the liver was cut and processed histologically. The histologically profile are norm cell, degeneration cell and picnotis cell. Statistical was periormed using one way Anova with the next analysis is Least Significant Difference (LSD) (p < 0.05). The result showed that Eclipta alba L. Hassk at 0.0625 m9/9 sw. 0.09375 mg/g BW, 0.125 mg/9 BW given for eight days Significant affected (p < 0.05) to: 1. Inhibit elevation of the level of SGOT induced by CCI4 0.77 mglg BW· 2. Inhibit elevation of the level of SGPT induced by CCI4 0. 77 mgt 9 sw. 3.
